Members From
a Project

7 To complete the operation, click Finish.
To make changes, click Back.
The members appear in the Project window.
If a member has outlived its usefulness or just does not belong in a project
anymore, you can remove it at any time.
In the graphical user interface, you can remove a member through a
Sandbox window, or through a Project window. For more details on
removing members through a Project window, see “Dropping a
Subproject” on page 129.
In the Web interface, because sandboxes do not exist, you can remove
members through the Project window only.
After you remove a member from a project, the member is no longer listed
as part of the sandbox or master project, but the member’s history remains
in the project record, in case you need to recreate an earlier version of the
project.
A former member is one that has been dropped from the project.
Source Integrity retains the member history for former members as part of
the project. Depending on the options you select when dropping the
member, Source Integrity can also delete the member’s working file and
close any associated change package.
NOTE
You cannot check in a member that is associated with a deferred drop
operation.
To drop a member in the graphical user interface
1 With a Project or Sandbox window open, select one or more members
to remove from the project or sandbox.
2 From a Project window, do one of the following:
Select Project > Drop Members.
Click .
From a Sandbox window, do one of the following:
Select Sandbox > Drop Members.
Click .
The Drop Member dialog box appears.
