Chapter 8: Viewing and Editing Projects, Sandboxes, and Members 258 To view or edit member information in the graphical user interface and Web interface 1 With a Project or Sandbox window open, select the member whose information you want to view or edit. 2 From the GUI, do one of the following: Select Member > Properties > Member Information. Click . From the Web, do one of the following: Select Member > Member Information. Click . The Member Information dialog box appears. 3 View or make changes to the member information as required. The Member Information dialog box presents the following information: Member Name is the path and name of the member. Project/Sandbox Name is the path and name of the member’s project or sandbox. Member Revision is the displayed member revision. To select another member revision, choose a revision from the Member Revision list. u s e r g u i d e
Controlling Members Created By is the name of the user who created the revision and the date and time it was created. Locked By is the name of the user who locked the revision, and the date and time it was locked. Locked In is the sandbox location and host name of the computer where the lock on the revision was made. State is the state assigned to the revision. To change the state of the revision, choose a state from the State list. For more information on states, see “Promoting Members” on page 268. Revision Description is a brief description of the revision. You cannot change an existing revision description from this dialog box, but you can append additional comments to it. To do so, enter any supplemental information in the Revision Description field below the present information (indicated by a line if an existing description is present). For information on the Attributes tab, see “To view or edit member attributes in the graphical user interface” on page 260. For information on the Labels tab, see “To view or edit member labels in the graphical user interface” on page 262. 4 When you are finished viewing or editing the member information, click OK to accept the changes. The member information is saved. Working With Member Attributes You can add or delete member attributes that allow you to categorize members, and then perform operations on them as a group. For example, in the graphical user interface, you could use the Select command to highlight only those members with the attribute sys=dos and then check them out as a group. Every project member can have any number of attribute statements that define variables for the member. Attributes can have either of the following formats: variable variable=value 259
