Chapter 3: Getting Started Using Source Integrity 32 information for the Integrity Server and Source Integrity. They work in conjunction with your network’s authentication system to provide control over features and functions. ACLs comprise principals and permissions. Principals control the users and groups who have access to the functionality of Source Integrity operations. Permissions specify the particular operations that are available. Each ACL entry identifies the allowance or denial of pre-defined sets of permissions. These permissions are configured by your administrator. You can view ACLs through Source Integrity to see which permissions your administrator has or has not assigned to you. To view ACLs in the graphical user interface 1 From a Source Integrity window, do one of the following: Select Tools > Manage Projects. Select Tools > Manage Sandboxes. A list of the registered projects or sandboxes appears in the Registered Projects or Registered Sandboxes dialog box. 2 Choose the project or sandbox you want to view ACLs for. TIP The Registered Projects dialog box supports standard shortcut menus. To display the menu of actions you can perform, select a project and right click. Source Integrity displays the applicable shortcut menu. u s e r g u i d e
3 Click Permissions. Before You Start the Integrity Client The ACL dialog box opens and displays the ACLs for the selected project or sandbox. You can expand each principal to view the permissions. IMPORTANT While Source Integrity does allow users to view their ACLs, it is not recommended that users attempt to modify these ACLs or create any specific ACLs. For more information on ACLs, see your administrator, and consult the Integrity Server Installation and Administration <strong>Guide</strong>. 33
