Chapter 9: Viewing and Editing Member Histories and Revisions 286 State is the state assigned to the member. To apply a different state to the member, choose a state from the State list. Revision Description is a brief description of the revision. You cannot change an existing revision description from this dialog box, but you can append additional comments to it. To do so, enter any supplemental information in the Revision Description field below the present information (indicated by a line if an existing description is present). 4 To accept the changes, click OK. The revision information is saved. Viewing an Annotated Revision Source Integrity provides an annotated revision view for member revisions. Use it when you want to investigate the reason and circumstances a revision was introduced or changed. Rather than searching the content of revisions in the history one revision at a time, you can see the content and information for all of the revisions in an annotated list. In annotation blocks, each line of the revision is displayed, with information about the last modification made to each line of the revision’s contents. By default, the annotated revision list includes the revision number, author, date, line number, and revision contents. You can view annotated revision information from the Project, Sandbox, or History windows. When using the Annotated view: you can only view annotation for one member at a time. you must close and then reopen the view to see subsequent updates to the member only content that was added or changed on a per revision basis is displayed, not deleted content NOTE The annotated view can only be displayed for members of text format. u s e r g u i d e
Viewing an Annotated Revision To view annotated revisions in the graphical user interface and Web interface 1 With a Project, Sandbox, or Member History window open, select the revision you want to view. 2 From a Project or Sandbox window, select Member > View Annotated Member. From a Member History window, do one of the following: Select History > View Annotated Revision. Click . The Annotated Revision window appears. The Annotated Revision window displays the following information: Revision displays the revision number for each annotated block. Author displays the author of the revision. Date displays the date each member revision was created. Line displays the line number for each line of text in the revision. Revision Contents displays the text contained in each annotation block. C.P. ID displays the change package ID for the annotation block. In the Web interface, the Revision Information for the specified revision is displayed in the bottom frame. 287
