The proposed expansion of the Lakeside Building will have a maximum height of 93 feet and will be 6 stones.
A recommendation from the Planning Commission to City Council to approve the First Amendment to Statutory DA
and Second Addendum to fhe Final Program EIR was approved on a 2-1 vote; Commissioner Ramirez voted
against the approval of the two documents because he felt more study of soils and liquefacUon should be
conducted.
DESIGN REVIEW
The Project has been reviewed by the City's Principal Urban Designer. He has determined the Project is consistent
with the design standards established by both the San Fernando Road Corridor Redevelopment Plan and the
Development Agreement between the City, the Agency, and the Developer. The Project additionally utilizes the
same materials, colors, and details as the existing architecture on the Campus. It is an architecturally conservative
extension of the Campus. As such, the Project is consistent with adopted design policies and standards, and could
be approved as presented.
The building will have a prominent presence on Flower Street and consequently will serve as the 'gateway'
