Surrounding land uses are limited to those pennitted in the Restricted Industrial zone and
are not considered shadow-sensitive, as evidenced by their design and the nature of their
occupancy. This is also evidenced by the development standards ofthe M-I zone which provide
no setback criteria from property lines other than along street frontages, and then only ten (10.0)
feet, which would allow more off-site shading from compliant structures than would occur from
the proposed project. Accordingly, no significant project shading or other light and glare
impacts not previously anticipated in the Program ErR are expected.
MITIGATION MEASURES
The following light and glare mitigation measures, as identified in the Program ErR, may
apply to the proposed project: 42

1. The Agency and the City design review of all projects shall include review of
lighting plans and illuminated signage to ensure minimal spillover and glare.
(Existing review requirement).
2. Buildings shall not use reflective glass that will cause excessive glare to motorists
or residents.
