Modifying the interface configuration
To add or modify an alias IP address in the Interface Configuration: Aliases
window, follow the steps below.
1 In the Network Address field, select the appropriate network address for
the interface you want to configure.
2 In the Alias Address field, type the alias IP address that will be associated
with the network interface selected in the Interface Configuration window.
3 In the Network Mask field, type a network mask. The value specified is
used to identify the significant portion of the IP address.
4 Click OK to add the alias IP address, or click Cancel to return to the
Interface Configuration window without saving your changes.
After adding or modifying an entry you should be able to ping the address
from an external device, unless the Respond to ICMP echo and timestamp
parameter is disabled for this burb. See “Entering information on the Burb
Configuration window” on page 82.
5 Click the Save icon to save the changes.
About the Hardware Acceleration tab
The Hardware Acceleration tab will only appear if you are using a supported
hardware accelerator. The Hardware Acceleration tab contains a table listing
the supported hardware accelerators that are currently installed on the
Sidewinder G2. The following table columns appear:
• Hardware Accelerator—This column lists the type of hardware accelerator
(for example, Cavium).
• Accelerator Type—This column lists the type of hardware acceleration (for
example, SSL).
• Enabled—This column lists whether the hardware accelerator is enabled
(On) or disabled (Off).
To enable a hardware accelerator, select the hardware accelerator you want to
enable and click Enable.
To disable a hardware accelerator, select the hardware accelerator you want to
disable and click Disable.
Click the Save icon to save your changes.
