Monitoring Sidewinder G2 status using the command line
To obtain information about local Sidewinder G2 users, type the following
command at a Sidewinder G2 prompt:
finger
When you use this command, you can find out the user names of people at
your site, the exact terminal they are logged in on, when they last logged in,
and how long they have been logged in.

Checking network status
Using the commands described in the sections that follow, you can display
information on the status of your network connections, routing tables, and
network utilities. These commands can provide “snapshots” of different aspects
of your system with command line outputs.
Note: Output for netstat -i queries will display shared addresses with a plus
(+) sign.
Active network connections
To view the status of any active TCP or UDP connections on the Sidewinder
G2, enter the following command:
netstat -f inet
Active connections/services
To view the status of all sockets on the Sidewinder G2, enter the following
command at a Sidewinder G2 command prompt:
netstat -af inet
Network interfaces
To view the status of the Sidewinder G2’s network interfaces, enter the
following command at a Sidewinder G2 command prompt:
netstat -i -n
