Chapter 16: One-To-Many Clusters
Configuring One-To-Many
The following steps explain how to initiate a One-To-Many relationship
between multiple Sidewinder G2s. Note the following before configuring your
Sidewinder G2s:
• A Sidewinder G2 cannot participate in a One-To-Many relationship if it is
part of an HA cluster.
• If a participating Sidewinder G2 has rules that use an IP alias or a redirect
address, see “Using IP aliases, redirected addresses, and multiple address
translation in proxy rules” on page 475.
Configuring a dedicated cluster burb for each Sidewinder
G2
Secure Computing recommends configuring a dedicated cluster burb when
setting up One-To-Many. This should be done prior to configuring your
Sidewinder G2s for One-To-Many. To add and configure the cluster burb,
follow the steps below.
1 Ensure that the Sidewinder G2 has an interface that can be dedicated to
internal One-To-Many communication.
2 In the Admin Console, connect to the Sidewinder G2 and select Firewall
Management > Burb Configuration and create a cluster burb. See
“Modifying the burb configuration” on page 82 for more information.
Important: The burb name for the cluster burb must be the same for each
Sidewinder G2 this will be participating in the One-To-Many cluster.
3 Click the Save icon on the toolbar.
4 Go to Firewall Administration > Interface Configuration to assign an
address and the cluster burb to the appropriate interface. (Be sure to select
Enable Interface.)See “Modifying the interface configuration” on page 83 for
more information.
5 Click the Save icon on the toolbar. (You do not need to reboot at this time.)
6 Repeat these steps for each Sidewinder G2 that will be participating in the
One-To-Many cluster.
