Chapter 18: Monitoring Viewing device information 516 Figure 210: System Resources: Process Use tab About the System Resources: Process Use tab In this area, you can do the following: • Click Change to change this Sidewinder G2’s state. This starts the State Change Wizard. Use the wizard to create a cluster, join an existing cluster, or join an enterprise (also known as registering to a G2 Enterprise Manager). Tip: Before using the State Change Wizard, determine if your Sidewinder G2 is prepared to change its state. Refer to the ”One-To-Many Clusters” chapter and the “High Availability” chapter in the Sidewinder G2 Administration Guide, and the “Managing Registered Sidewinder G2s” chapter in the G2 Enterprise Manager Administration Guide for more information. • Click System Resources to view process use and disk use information. Both tabs appear in a separate pop-up window. • Receive feedback that a system resource may be experiencing trouble. If the value turns red, the memory or disk may be getting too full and requires attention. Click System Resources to view more information. This tab displays the status of each process that is currently running on this Sidewinder G2. It provides the following details for each process: • Process — This column displays the name of each running process. • CPU — This column displays the percentage of CPU currently being used. • Process Size — This column displays the amount of memory a process is using. • Resident Memory — This column displays the amount of physical memory a process is using. On this window, you can do the following: • Click Refresh to update this tab’s data. • Click the Disk Use tab to view a disk usage snapshot. The window shown in Figure 211 appears. • Click Close to close this window.

It provides the following details for each disk partition: • Mounted On — This column displays the name of each disk partition. • Percent Used — The column displays the percent of that partition being used. • Used — This column displays the amount of a given partition being used. • Available — This column displays the amount of disk space available for use in the given partition. • Description — This column displays a description of the disk partition. On this window, you can do the following: • Click Refresh to update this tab’s data. • Click the Process Use tab to view a process usage snapshot. The window shown in Figure 210 appears. • Click Close to close this window. 517
