7 [Conditional] If you selected Require complex passwords in the previous
step, do the following:
a Specify the number of character groups that will be required for
passwords. For example, if you specify 2, passwords must use
characters from two of the four character groups. The character groups
are:
• lowercase
• uppercase
• numbers
• special characters (includes all printable characters that can be
typed from the keyboard, such as ^ % $ # @ ! . , etc.)
b Specify the number of characters that will be required from each
character group. For example, if you specify 3 characters from each
group, and two character groups are required, passwords will need to
contain three characters from two different groups, such as a13c7b.
8 Click OK to save your changes before returning to the Authentication
Configuration window.
Note: If you want to use password authentication after it is configured, you must
also enable it in the Authentication Configuration window.
Setting up RADIUS authentication
RADIUS is a standard protocol used to authenticate users before they are
allowed access to your system. To configure the Sidewinder G2 to work with a
RADIUS server, start the Admin Console and select Services Configuration >
Authentication, and click Configure Radius. The following window appears.
