The IP Network Defense allows you to customize audit output for IP attacks
stopped by the Sidewinder G2. To configure the IP Network Defense, in the
Admin Console select Policy Configuration > Network Defenses > IP. The
following window appears.
This tab allows you to configure which audit to generate for IP attack and
compliance issues. Sidewinder G2 automatically stops all listed attacks;
selecting or clearing a check box only affects whether or not this behavior is
audited.
1 In the Audit the selected IP attacks section, select the attacks for which you
want Sidewinder G2 to generate audit.
2 In the Audit the selected IP compliance issues area, select which level of
audit to generate. Options are:
• All IP compliance issues
• Severe and moderate IP compliance issues
• Severe IP compliance issues
• No IP compliance issues
3 In the IP Audit Frequency area, select how often to generate audit for IP
issues. Select one of the following:
• Limit auditing (recommended) — Generates an audit record for the first
x occurrences for every y seconds. Other occurrences of the same audit
event in that window will not be recorded. An additional audit event will
be generated to record how many other audit events were suppressed.
