case of <strong>the</strong> Dom<strong>in</strong>ican Republic, <strong>the</strong><br />

specific monoclonal antibody (MAB-<br />

GA), which recognizes BGYMV isolates<br />

from Central America <strong>and</strong> sou<strong>the</strong>rn<br />

Mexico, detected <strong>the</strong> Haitian isolate of<br />

BGYMV. This isolate was partially<br />

<strong>and</strong> Central America characterized to<br />

date. Table 2 shows <strong>the</strong> results of <strong>the</strong>se<br />

comparative analyses.<br />

As suggested by <strong>the</strong> serological<br />

assay us<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> Guatemalan (GA)<br />

specific MAB, <strong>the</strong> Haitian BGYMV<br />
