Haskins and Catherine (Marshall) Titus, a native of Detroit,
Mich. He was a lawyer. Children: (1) Madaline; (2)

Augustine Howe, b. in Pepperrell, Apr. 20, 1827, son of
James and Harriet (Nason) Howe. Children: (1) James

494 Aaron Lewis, born in Bill erica, Mass., Dec.
11, 1786, kept a hotel in Groton, Mass., on the great
road, so-called, leading from Boston to Vermont. He was
a lieutenant in the 9th regiment of Groton during the
war of 1812-15, resigned and was released Sept. 1, 1814,
and died in Groton, Oct. 9, 1849. He married Dec. 28,
1814, Sarah Spaulding, born in Groton, Oct. 25, 1790,
and died there Apr. 19, 1832, daughter of Oliver and Abigail
(Hall) Spaulding of Groton, Mass.

495 Levi Lewis, born in Billerica, Mass., Nov. 28,
1788, lived in Groton until 1815, when he removed to
Lancaster, Mass., where he kept the store in the North
Village until his death, June ^8, 1839. He dealt quite
extensively in lands. He was a Justice of the Peace in
1823, a member of the legislature in 1833. He left 10
children under 21 years of age at his death. He married
