<strong>and</strong> died Jan. 4, 1877. He married, first, Nov. 27, 1861,<br />

Annie E. Snow, daughter <strong>of</strong> Henry H. Snow, who died<br />

in childbirth Dec. 16, 1865. He married, second, Melissa<br />

A.. (Horton) Clarke, a widow, born April 18, 1846 ;<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Comfort <strong>and</strong> Martha P. Horton. She married,<br />

third, June, 1884, Horace R. H<strong>and</strong>y.<br />

a gr<strong>and</strong>daughter <strong>of</strong> Bradford <strong>Lewis</strong> <strong>of</strong> Chicopee, Mass.<br />

Mr. <strong>Lewis</strong> is a graduate <strong>of</strong> Brown University.<br />

1075. LOUISA JACKSON, b. Mar. 9, 1847; d. Sept. 7, 1876; a teacher<br />

in the Providence, R. I., public schools.<br />

1076. WALTER JAMKP, b. Sept. 8, 1851; d. Sept. 25, 1906. He<br />

learned the jeweller's trade <strong>and</strong> also was a conductor for<br />

the Union Railroad Co. for 9 years. He was appointed<br />

Sanitary Inspector <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Health <strong>of</strong> Providence<br />

in 1894, <strong>and</strong> retained the <strong>of</strong>fice until <strong>his</strong> death. He was a<br />

member <strong>of</strong> Doric Lodge <strong>of</strong> Masons <strong>of</strong> Auburn, <strong>and</strong> was a<br />

charter member <strong>of</strong> Co. E. First Light Infantry regiment,<br />

a 2d sergt. upon organization <strong>and</strong> rose to 1st Lieutenant<br />

which he held at time <strong>of</strong> death. He married, Sept. 20,<br />

1874, Ella Maria Rockwell, who was divorced in July, 1895.<br />

Had, born in Providence: (1) Grace Louise, b. Jan. 3,<br />

1886; (2) Walter Irving, b. Aug. 9, 1891.
