124 Jonathan <strong>Lewis</strong>, born in Woburn, April 10,<br />

1731 (also recorded at Wilmington), was taxed at Billerica<br />

in 1755, <strong>and</strong> was a soldier in the public service dur-<br />

ing the period between 1745 <strong>and</strong> 1762. He removed to<br />

Pepperell, where he died Nov. 10, 1776. He was a yeoman,<br />

<strong>and</strong> married, April 3, 1755, Persis Crosby, born Aug.<br />

9, 1733, daughter <strong>of</strong> Lieut. Simon <strong>and</strong> Abigail (Kidder)<br />

Crosby. After <strong>his</strong> death, she married, second, John Green<br />

<strong>of</strong> Pepperell, <strong>and</strong> had a son Benjamin.<br />

Children <strong>of</strong> Jonathan <strong>and</strong> Persis, the first six born in<br />

Billerica<br />

whole <strong>of</strong> the Revolutionary War, <strong>and</strong> also was at Concord<br />

bridge on the 19 April 1775. His name is on the tax list
