570 Asa <strong>Lewis</strong>, born in <strong>Lynn</strong>, May 28, 1814, was a<br />
shoemaker in early life, but a fisherman for more than 50<br />
years, <strong>and</strong> captain <strong>of</strong> a vessel for more than half that<br />
time. He died in <strong>Lynn</strong>, Aug. 3, 1888. He married, first,<br />
in <strong>Lynn</strong>, Nov. 6, 1834, Dorcas Davis, born in <strong>Lynn</strong>, Mar.<br />
5, 1815, <strong>and</strong> died there, Feb. 26,1855, daughter <strong>of</strong> Joseph<br />
<strong>and</strong> Susan (Boynton) Davis <strong>of</strong> <strong>Lynn</strong>. He married, second,<br />
in <strong>Lynn</strong>, April 14, 1858, <strong>his</strong> wife's sister, Mrs. Mary<br />
Ann (Davis) Allen, widow <strong>of</strong> Amos Allen, who was born<br />
in <strong>Lynn</strong>, Oct. 20, 1812, <strong>and</strong> died Aug. 1, 1881.<br />
