common by John <strong>Lewis</strong> (2) <strong>and</strong> <strong>his</strong> son John <strong>Lewis</strong> (7).<br />
He died intestate Apr. 16, 1813, <strong>and</strong> <strong>his</strong> son Robert <strong>Lewis</strong><br />
was appointed administrator <strong>and</strong> guardian for John, Henry<br />
Amos <strong>and</strong> George, minor children.<br />
He married Feb. 4, 1773, Martha, daughter <strong>of</strong> Robert<br />
<strong>and</strong> Mary (Newhall) Mansfield <strong>of</strong> <strong>Lynn</strong>. She died April<br />
16, 1839.<br />

141 <strong>Edmund</strong> <strong>Lewis</strong>, born in <strong>Lynn</strong> Feb. 10, 1754,<br />
was a cordwainer <strong>and</strong> lived in <strong>Lynn</strong>. He marched on the<br />
Alarm <strong>of</strong> April 19, 1775 He married Nov. 4, 1784 <strong>his</strong><br />
cousin Hepzibah, daughter <strong>of</strong> John (338 Newhall Gen.)<br />
<strong>and</strong> Sarah (<strong>Lewis</strong>) (79) Newhall. He died Oct. 16, 1815,<br />
<strong>and</strong> she died Jan. 19, 1837. All <strong>his</strong> children died without<br />
heirs except Sarah, whose daughter Elizabeth Cloutman<br />
lived with her gr<strong>and</strong>mother Hepzibah <strong>Lewis</strong> <strong>and</strong> deeded<br />
l<strong>and</strong> with her as sole heir.<br />
