N. H., June 14, 1833, was an invalid for years, but engaged<br />

in business in Lowell <strong>and</strong> Boston, Mass. He was<br />

Register <strong>of</strong> Deeds in Laconia, N. H., where he died May<br />

22, 1887. He married Eliza Bean Hilton, daughter <strong>of</strong><br />

David <strong>and</strong> Sally Fuller (Wallace) Hilton.<br />

822 James Pickering <strong>Lewis</strong>, born Feb. 10, 1842,<br />

in New Hampton, N. H., has been a clerk in the Post<br />

Office Department, Washington, D. C., since Mar. 10,<br />

1875. He married June 30, 1880, in Washington, D. C.,<br />

Mrs. Mary (Winn) Wilkey, born July 15, 1842, daughter<br />

<strong>of</strong> Bernard <strong>and</strong> Katherine (Dyer) Winn.<br />

825 James Willard <strong>Lewis</strong>, born in Concord, Vt.,<br />

Aug. 26, 1823, was thrown from a carriage at St. Johnsbury,<br />

Vt., <strong>and</strong> two weeks after died <strong>of</strong> apoplexy on May<br />

11, 1879. He was Justice <strong>of</strong> the Peace at the time <strong>of</strong> <strong>his</strong><br />

death. He married, first, Diantha Chloe Richardson, born<br />

in Salem, Vt., daughter <strong>of</strong> Francis <strong>and</strong> Chloe (Chamberlain)<br />

Richardson, <strong>of</strong> Waterford, Vt., who died in New<br />

York City, Sept. 9, 1858. He married, second, at Brad-<br />

ford, Vt, Dec. 25, 1863, Hattie Worthen, born Dec. 17,<br />

1833, daughter <strong>of</strong> John A. <strong>and</strong> Mary (Runnels) Worthen<br />

<strong>of</strong> Bradford, Vt.
