county surveyor at the time <strong>of</strong> <strong>his</strong> death, Aug. 9, 1891.<br />
He married, first, at Eutau, Green Co., Ala., June 7, 1855,<br />
Mary Ann Ridgeway, b. Aug. 22, 1835, <strong>and</strong> died at Decatur,<br />
Miss., Dec. 15, 1883, daughter <strong>of</strong> Sephalon <strong>and</strong><br />
Mary (Bell) Ridgeway <strong>of</strong> Springfield, Ala. He married,<br />
second, Dec. 22, 1887, Mary Ellen Bates, who died Aug.<br />
1, 1892.<br />
