640 Charles Warren <strong>Lewis</strong>, born in <strong>Lynn</strong>, Nov.<br />

28, 1832, is a florist on <strong>Lewis</strong> St., <strong>Lynn</strong>. He married,<br />

first, Sept. 6, 1857, in <strong>Lynn</strong>, Susan Ellen Newhall, born<br />

in Saugus, July 11, 1836, <strong>and</strong> died Sept. 20, 1873, daughter<br />

<strong>of</strong> William P. <strong>and</strong> Mary Abby Newhall <strong>of</strong> <strong>Lynn</strong>. He<br />

married, second, July 13, 1875 (<strong>Lynn</strong> Rds.), Clarissa Ware<br />

Woodbury, born in <strong>Lynn</strong>, Nov. 14, 1830, daughter <strong>of</strong><br />

Samuel E. <strong>and</strong> Clara Woodbury <strong>of</strong> <strong>Lynn</strong>.<br />

1031. WILLIAM ENDICOTT, b. Mar. 29, 1866; d. Sept. 4, 1902. Mr.<br />

<strong>Lewis</strong> carried on a successful plumbing business at 17<br />

Central Ave., <strong>Lynn</strong>. He was a member <strong>of</strong> the Xorth<br />

Congregational Church, superintendent <strong>of</strong> its Sunday<br />

School, <strong>and</strong> charter member <strong>and</strong> President <strong>of</strong> its Chris-<br />

tian Endeavor Society. He was one <strong>of</strong> the leaders in<br />

forming the C. E. Union <strong>of</strong> <strong>Lynn</strong> <strong>and</strong> vicinity; was its<br />

third President, <strong>and</strong> until <strong>his</strong> removal from the city was<br />

the Union's County representative. He was chairman <strong>of</strong><br />

the Executive Committee <strong>of</strong> Mass. State C. E. Convention,<br />

held in <strong>Lynn</strong> in 1897, the success <strong>of</strong> which was largely<br />

due to the executive ability <strong>of</strong> Mr. <strong>Lewis</strong>. He m. Oct.<br />

14, 1891, Annie E., dau. <strong>of</strong> John S. <strong>and</strong> Edna Knowles,<br />

<strong>and</strong> had: (1) Ruth Endicott, b. Aug. 11, 1896.<br />

647 Allen Webster <strong>Lewis</strong>, born in <strong>Lynn</strong>, June<br />

17, 1825, married in <strong>Lynn</strong>, Nov. 2, 1850, Maria Ryan,<br />

born in Neinha, County Tipperary, Irel<strong>and</strong>, daughter <strong>of</strong><br />

Daniel Ryan.<br />
