Squadrons." This occupied the entire length <strong>of</strong> South Street.<br />

"And the People Up the pla<strong>in</strong> be divided <strong>in</strong>to two Squadrons, tak<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>in</strong> Ensign Gideon Lymans." This one <strong>in</strong>cluded the upper part <strong>of</strong><br />

Bridge and North Streets.<br />

" Another Squadron to be <strong>from</strong> Dea. Pomeroy's & John Briggs at the<br />

East End <strong>of</strong> the Wid° Abigail Parsons & the Wid" <strong>of</strong> Eben'' Alvord at<br />

the other End.'' This was probably the lower part <strong>of</strong> Bridge and the<br />

upper part <strong>of</strong> Hawley Streets.<br />

" Another to be <strong>from</strong> Noah Strong's tak<strong>in</strong>g all that Street." This<br />

<strong>in</strong>cluded the lower portion <strong>of</strong> Hawley Street.<br />

" And the other <strong>from</strong> the meddow Gate up to Benjam<strong>in</strong> Bartlet's."'<br />

This was the lower end <strong>of</strong> Pleasant Street.<br />

" Another to be <strong>from</strong> Judd's & Henderson's on both Sides <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Street to Capt Moses Lyman's, tak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Moses Wright's family and<br />

Caleb Strong's." This covered the rest <strong>of</strong> Pleasant Street to Ma<strong>in</strong>.<br />

" Another <strong>from</strong> Edward Baker's & Saul Alvord's to Elisha Pomeroys<br />

& rC Jerijah Strong's, tak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Serg' Wa<strong>its</strong>till Strong & Serg' Hunt's."<br />

This <strong>in</strong>cluded Meet<strong>in</strong>g House Hill. Ma<strong>in</strong> Street and South Street to the<br />

river.<br />

" Another Squadron to be <strong>from</strong> Israel Rusts, to Samuel Marshalls and<br />

to Ens. Josiah Clark's & his Brother Increase and down to Maj"^ Pomeroy's."<br />

In this was embraced the western half <strong>of</strong> Meet<strong>in</strong>g House<br />

Hill, Ma<strong>in</strong> to West, and Elm Streets to the Episcopal Church.<br />

" & another <strong>from</strong> the Wid° Sarah Clarks & Lt. Hunt's Up to Eben''<br />

Clark, Jr. and Moses Clark's." This comprised the rema<strong>in</strong>der <strong>of</strong> Elm<br />

Street.<br />

"& Another <strong>from</strong> John Alvord's down to the Wid" Millers and up to<br />

Mark Warners on both Sides <strong>of</strong> the way.'' This one extended along<br />

Prospect Street and <strong>in</strong>cluded "'Black Pole."<br />

"Another <strong>from</strong> Hope Roots on both Sides <strong>of</strong> the way down to Sam-<br />

uel Aliens tak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> L'. Benj" Sheldons and Eben"^ Kentfield." In this<br />

was <strong>in</strong>cluded the upper portion <strong>of</strong> K<strong>in</strong>g Street.<br />

" Another Squadron to be <strong>from</strong> Serg* Joseph Allen's to Lt. John Miller's<br />

tak<strong>in</strong>g the back Street <strong>from</strong> John Strongs & Sam' Clessons down<br />

to Ithaniar Clarks." In this was <strong>in</strong>cluded the lower section <strong>of</strong> K<strong>in</strong>g<br />

Street, extend<strong>in</strong>g to Market.<br />

formed." He lived on Market Street, his lot extend<strong>in</strong>g to the cemeterj-.<br />
