Description<br />

Indicates an ASCII representation of a number if required<br />

in the command statement. The numbers may be an integer<br />

or floating- point, and may include a decimal exponent.<br />

(NRf stands for “flexible numeric representation.” For<br />

further information, refer to the IEEE 488.2 standard.)<br />

Indicates an ASCII representation of a number if required<br />

Indicates that a “PCT” termination is required in the<br />

command statement. If no termination is specified, a “PCT”<br />

value is assumed.<br />

Indicates that a “HZ”, “KHZ”, “GHZ”, or “MHZ”<br />

termination is required in the command statement. IF the<br />

command is not terminated then “HZ” is assumed.<br />

Indicates that a “RAD” termination is required in the<br />

command statement. If no termination is specified then<br />

“RAD” is assumed.<br />

Indicates that a “DB”, “DBM”, “DBUV”, “UV”, “MV”, “V”,<br />

“UVEMF”, “MVEMF”, or “DBUVEMF” termination is<br />

required in the command statement. If no termination is<br />

specified then “DBM” is assumed.<br />

:command] Bracketed commands are optional. SCPI assumes the<br />

optional command is present.<br />

3aram ] param Parameters separated by “I” indicate that either parameter<br />

is acceptable.<br />

,aram,param Parameters separated by ‘0” indicate that multiple<br />

parameters are allowed.<br />

{command]command} Commands enclosed in the {} blanket indicate one of these<br />

codes can be selected.<br />

‘string’ Indicates a string parameter that contains ASCII <strong>ch</strong>aracter.<br />

A string must begin with a double quote (“) and end with a<br />

double quote mark. You can include the quotation marks as<br />

part of the string by typing it twice without any <strong>ch</strong>aracters<br />

in between the quotation marks. Or, you can avoid typing<br />

the quotation marks twice by using a single quotation<br />

mark( ‘).
