Note<br />

If you are operating this instrument in extreme environmental<br />

conditions, refer to the following operation limitations.<br />

The following minimum conditions are required for safe operation of<br />

this instrument:<br />

Indoor use<br />

w Altitude < 4500 meters (15,000 feet)<br />

Temperature: 0 O to 50 “C<br />

Maximum relative humidity 80% for temperatures up to 31 “C<br />

decreasing linearly to 50% relative humidity at 40 “C<br />

INSTALLATION CATEGORY II according to IEC 1010<br />

POLLUTION DEGREE 2 according to IEC 664<br />

The instrument performs a diagnostic self test on power-up. If any<br />

problems are detected with functionality it will display a message.<br />

Refer to Chapter lc, “Operation Messages,” for further information<br />

about the messages.<br />

Coaxial mating connectors used with the signal generator should be<br />

either 50 Q BNC or 50 61 type N male connectors that are compatible<br />

with those specified in UL MIL-C-39012.<br />

The instrument should be stored in a clean, dry environment. The<br />

following environmental limitations apply to both storage and<br />

shipment:<br />

w Temperature -40 “C to + 70 “C<br />

Humidity < 95% relative<br />

w Altitude 15,300 meters (50,000 feet)<br />

The cabinet should only be cleaned using a damp cloth.<br />
