Setting the Message<br />

The message menu looks like the following:<br />

MESSAGE NO.1 MESSAGE LENGTH 40<br />

w MESSAGE NO. is defined as the following where “X” represents the<br />

phase setting:<br />

0: Arbitrary message set from the external controller using the<br />

<strong>HP</strong>-IB capability. The data must be entered in units of words.<br />

Refer to “[SOURceI :PAGing [:FORMat] :(POCSaglFLEXIFTD)<br />

:ARBitrary :DEFine , , . . . , " and “Using<br />

the Buffer Memory for the Arbitrary Messages” in Chapter 2.<br />

START FRAME and STOP FRAME are defined in the following<br />

menu:<br />

FREQLENCY- MODULATION - AMPLII’UDE<br />

START FRAME 000 STOP FRAME 127<br />

The frames between the START FRAME and STOP FRAME will be<br />

transmitted. The allowable ranges for both are 000 to 127.<br />

1: Displays: 0123456 [Xl<br />

where “X” = “0” for phase A, “1” for phase B, “2” for phase C,<br />

“3” for phase D.<br />

2: Displays: ABCDEFG [XI<br />

where “X” = phase “A”, “B”, “C”, “D”.<br />

3: Displays: TEST PAGING :XXXXXXX<br />

where “XXXXXXX” = “PHASE A”, “PHASE B”, “PHASE C”, or<br />

“PHASE D”.<br />

4: Displays: ALPHANUMERIC 40CHARS TEST PAGING :XXXXXXX<br />

where “XXXXXXX” = “PHASE A”, “PHASE B”, “PHASE C”, or<br />

“PHASE D” .<br />
