FM Subsystem<br />

To set or <strong>ch</strong>ange the FSK level, the data rate must be set properly. For<br />

example, when you want to set the data rate to 6400 bps, 4-level FSK<br />

for FLEX pagers, send the following commands:<br />

DM:DEV 4.8 KHZ<br />

Sets FM deviation. *RST value is 3 kHz.<br />

Turns FM modulation ON or OFF. FM is not turned on by just setting<br />

FM:DEViation. Turning FM modulation ON will not automatically turn<br />

OFF any other types of modulation. Turning any or all modulation<br />

types ON or OFF must be done explicitly. If a modulation type is<br />

turned ON while another modulation type is ON, an execution error<br />

-221 is generated, and the state of the instrument is un<strong>ch</strong>anged.<br />

Selects FM source. *RST value is INTernal. INTernal is the internal<br />

1991 SCPI Command Reference (17.4.9.2) is not supported.<br />

Sets the frequency of the FM internal signal source. Legal values are<br />

400 Hz and 1 kHz. *RST value is 1 kHz.<br />

Sets the FM modulation frequency using the internal audio generator<br />

in the Option 1EP and the internal modulation generator in the<br />

Option lE2. Legal values are 20 Hz to 10 kHz for the Option 1EP and<br />

10 Hz to 20 kHz for the Option lE2. *RST value is 1 kHz.<br />
