Options
This chapter contains specifications and supplemental characteristics
for the HP 8648A/B/C/D synthesized signal generators.
Specif’lcations describe the instrument’s warranted performance
over the 0 to 50 “C temperature range and apply after a 30 minute
warm-up unless otherwise noted. All performance below a carrier
frequency of 250 kHz is typical.
Supplemental characteristics (shown in italics) are intended to
provide information useful in estimating instrument capability
in your application by describing typical, but non-warranted
performance.
The regulatory information is located in the last section of this
chapter.
The HP 8648A/B/C/D synthesized signal generator specifications refer
to several options. Those options are described below.
Option 1EA - High power (HP 8648B/C/D only)
w Option 1EP - Pager encoder/signaling (includes modulation
generator functionality of Option lE2) (HP 8648A only)
(Not available with Option lE2)
Option lE2 - Modulation generator (Not available with Option 1EP)
w Option lE5 - High stability timebase
Option lE6 - Pulse modulation (HP 8648B/C/D only)
