(University of Alaska at Juneau) and Ronald Simmons (VTN Oregon). Tim
McGinnis of Williamson Associates was tireless and provided an exceptional
amount of side scan sonar data during the September cruise. The
identification of fauna in the field was greatly assisted by a draft
copy of a guide written and loaned to us by Doyle "Red" Kessler of the
National Marine Fisheries Service.
Laboratory and data analysis and report preparation were assisted by
a number of people. Bill Kemp analyzed all of the sediment samples.
Ron Simmons and Williey Knox were responsible for data entry and EDP
software, respectively. Janet Armstrong helped with larval data analyses
and graphics at the University of Washington and also collected
additional zooplankton samples during another cruise. Susan Donin
processed the words and Gary Austin drafted the figures. Robert Smith
of Ecological Data Analysis assisted the community analysis of the
epibenthic data.
This study was funded through a grant by the Minerals Management Service
through interagency agreement with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration as part of the Outer Continental Shelf Environmental
Assessment Program.
