maturation of commercial crabs, based on both short <strong>and</strong> long-term<br />

exposures.<br />

2. Distribution <strong>and</strong> critical habitat of blue king crab larvae, young<br />

juveniles <strong>and</strong> mature females nearshore about the Pribilof Isl<strong>and</strong>s.<br />

3. Extent <strong>and</strong> timing of larval red king crab hatch in upper Bristol<br />

Bay compared to nearshore along the NAS from Unimak Isl<strong>and</strong> to Port<br />

Moller.<br />

4. Area of settlement <strong>and</strong> successful juvenile development of red king<br />

crab along the NAS into Bristol Bay.<br />

As of this writing, the latter three points are research programs<br />

sponsored by OCSEAP <strong>and</strong> scheduled for completion in summer, 1984.<br />
