Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science<br />
in Sales and Marketing<br />
The Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in Sales and Marketing program is designed to<br />
prepare individuals for careers in sales and marketing. The program<br />
addresses key processes in planning and executing marketing activities<br />
aimed at creating exchanges that satisfy both consumer and<br />
organizational objectives. Further, it emphasizes the importance <strong>of</strong> the<br />
value exchange and <strong>of</strong> a customer-centered strategy. The program<br />
covers the skills, techniques and best practices <strong>of</strong> sales, sales<br />
management and customer relationship management.<br />
Program Outcomes<br />
Graduates <strong>of</strong> the Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science program in Sales and Marketing<br />
are expected to be able to do the following:<br />
1. Develop a marketing plan.<br />
2. Understand the marketing and sales functions in the context <strong>of</strong><br />
organizational management and strategic planning.<br />
3. Apply market research to marketing and sales decisions.<br />
4. Integrate knowledge <strong>of</strong> consumer buying behavior into market and<br />
sales planning.<br />
5. Select appropriate means <strong>of</strong> influencing target markets.<br />

Degree Requirements<br />
A minimum <strong>of</strong> 122 semester credits is required for graduation with the<br />
bachelor <strong>of</strong> science degree from <strong>Saint</strong> Mary’s <strong>University</strong>. All students<br />
must meet the general education credit requirements. A minimum <strong>of</strong> 45<br />
credits is required to complete the B.S. in Sales and Marketing program.<br />
