Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in Business<br />
The goal <strong>of</strong> the Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in Business degree completion<br />
program is to prepare individuals with the financial, operational, and<br />
management skills required to work at a pr<strong>of</strong>essional level in the rapidly<br />
changing environments <strong>of</strong> business organizations.<br />
Program Outcomes<br />
Graduates <strong>of</strong> the Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in Business program are expected<br />
to be able to do the following:<br />
1. Understand the strategies to achieve goals <strong>of</strong> a business<br />
organization.<br />
2. Apply financial and economic principles to business decisions and<br />
projects.<br />
3. Understand basic concepts <strong>of</strong> management and leadership.<br />
4. Incorporate an ethical and legal perspective into their work<br />
environment.<br />
5. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.<br />
6. Work effectively with diverse populations.<br />
7. Demonstrate critical thinking skills.<br />
8. Develop strategies for learning new skills and updating knowledge.<br />
9. Demonstrate the general education competencies required for<br />
graduation.<br />
Degree Requirements<br />
A minimum <strong>of</strong> 122 credits is required for graduation with a bachelor <strong>of</strong><br />
science degree from <strong>Saint</strong> Mary’s <strong>University</strong>. All students must meet the<br />
general education credit requirements. A minimum <strong>of</strong> 36 credits is<br />
required to complete the B.S. in Business.<br />
