Master <strong>of</strong> Arts in Health and<br />
Human Services Administration<br />
The Master <strong>of</strong> Arts in Health and Human Services Administration<br />
Program is designed to prepare graduates for leadership positions in a<br />
variety <strong>of</strong> healthcare or human service settings such as managed care<br />
facilities, behavioral health institutions, single and multi-centered<br />
hospitals, long-term care centers, governmental health and human<br />
service agencies, and non-pr<strong>of</strong>it agencies.<br />
The program is intended for both new and seasoned pr<strong>of</strong>essionals who<br />
seek graduate level studies focusing on administration and management<br />
in health or human services. <strong>Student</strong>s can choose from two<br />
specialization tracks in either Healthcare Administration or Human<br />
Services Administration.<br />
This program delivers practical and theoretical coursework in general<br />
management, financial management, and health or human service<br />
administration providing new perspectives to successfully lead and<br />
advance organizations in today’s challenging and complex health and<br />
human services fields.<br />
Program Outcomes<br />
Graduates <strong>of</strong> the Master <strong>of</strong> Arts in Health and Human Services<br />
Administration Program are expected to be able to do the following:<br />
1. Provide operational leadership and management to promote<br />
organizational quality and sustainability.<br />
2. Provide effective human resource management skills to enhance<br />
organizational performance.<br />
3. Develop financial acumen to contribute to the vitality and viability <strong>of</strong><br />
health and human services organizations.<br />
4. Integrate knowledge <strong>of</strong> organizational design, governance, and<br />
public policy into health and human services administration.<br />
5. Communicate effectively to facilitate understanding within today’s<br />
diverse community.<br />
6. Provide ethical and culturally competent leadership skills with<br />
awareness to the legal dimensions.<br />
7. Employ strategic and critical thinking skills related to data-driven<br />
decision-making.<br />
