Variations
You can use this exercise at the beginning of a seminar with the aim of helping people
to get to know each other and to discover the diversity within the group. Although it
functions also as a good icebreaker, it is still important to have a short evaluation of
people’s feelings during the exercise.
Depending on the time and situation, you may leave some time for the participants
to say more about what makes them say yes or no.
When you have finished your list of questions, you can call on the participants to ask
their own. Tell them to be careful and to think about people’s feelings.
You can choose questions that offer three or more possible answers. Make sure you
show clearly where people should stand.
