This is a simulation which can be used to help <strong>youth</strong> <strong>work</strong>ers to develop <strong>youth</strong><br />

projects <strong>for</strong> funding. <strong>The</strong> activity should be run in two parts, ideally at separate<br />

times, so that those on the selection panel have time to read the proposals.<br />

Select one or two funding programmes that might be appropriate <strong>for</strong> participants<br />

and make copies of the application <strong>for</strong>ms, background in<strong>for</strong>mation, etc.<br />

Be<strong>for</strong>e Part 2<br />

Try to invite resource people from various funding organisations. This is an opportunity<br />

<strong>for</strong> the participants to receive useful advice on their potential projects.<br />

Resource people (the selection panel) need to be briefed and ideally<br />

need to see copies of the projects be<strong>for</strong>ehand.<br />
