Materials<br />

Flipchart; paper and pens <strong>for</strong> each participant<br />

Instructions<br />

Ask participants to brainstorm what they understand by the word “identity”.<br />

Write their answers on a flipchart.<br />

Hand a piece of paper to each participant and ask them to divide it into<br />

eight sections. In each section, they should write down one element in<br />

their own identity, so that the whole piece of paper covers what they<br />

consider most essential to themselves. Allow about 10 minutes <strong>for</strong> this<br />

part of the activity.<br />
