7. Matched pair selection <strong>and</strong> site visits: Study team utilized the results from the manager<br />

survey to make statistically similar pair matches for site visits <strong>and</strong> comparison. Site visit<br />

9. Read <strong>and</strong> bill company survey: To obtain information about <strong>billing</strong> practices <strong>and</strong> policies a<br />

review of survey instrument. Data input quality control review <strong>and</strong> checks.<br />

10. Statistical analysis <strong>and</strong> modeling: Once the data collection <strong>and</strong> analysis was complete<br />

research team used all of the assembled information to develop analytical tools <strong>and</strong><br />

relationships to quantify potential water savings <strong>and</strong> explain indoor multi-<strong>family</strong> residential<br />

water use. QAQC – Team statistician Dr. Peter Bickel frequently reviewed the statistical<br />

analysis <strong>and</strong> modeling effort, making suggestions for refinements <strong>and</strong> further analyses.<br />

11. Final products: The final products of this research project include this final report <strong>and</strong> the<br />

database. QAQC – An extensive PAC/POC <strong>and</strong> peer review process was established to<br />

ensure the final report is of the highest possible quality. QAQC procedures for the database<br />

development were implemented throughout the research process <strong>and</strong> are listed above.<br />
