The page is available only if the following conditions apply.
• For traditional classes, the Faculty Web Final Grade checkbox in the Base Part of
Term block of the Term Control Form (SOATERM) must be selected for the term.
• For Open Learning classes, the Display Final Grades checkbox in the Faculty
Self-Service Display Controls block of the Section Web Controls Form
(SSAWSEC) must be selected for the term.
If the user has not selected a term during the current Web session, the Select Term page
(bwlkostm.P_FacSelTerm) is displayed first; if a term has been selected, that term is used.
Likewise, if the user has not selected a CRN during the current Web session, the Select a
CRN page (bwlkocrn.P_FacCrnSel) is displayed; if a CRN has been selected, that CRN
is used.
A user can view only class lists or courses to which he or she is assigned as an instructor
(either primary or non-primary) for the selected term.
There is a time limit on this page, and if changes are not saved before the time limit is
reached, they will be lost. The system displays a message stating the time lime, which can
be changed by your institution using WebTailor.
Final grades are rolled to Academic History by administrative staff via the Grade Roll to
Academic History (SHRROLL) in Banner, and once grades are rolled, they cannot be
updated on the Web.
If gradable components are defined for a CRN, the system displays a message informing
the user that final grades entered on this page could be overwritten if the Grade
Calculation process is initiated from the Electronic Gradebook.
When the user selects Submit after entering grades, grade entries that were changed are
validated to determine whether they qualify for incomplete grade processing. If
incomplete grade processing has been set up and at least one student in the class qualifies
for it, the system displays the Incomplete Final Grades page
(bwlkffgd.P_FacCommitFinGrd). To qualify, the following must be in place.
• Incomplete grades must be defined on the Grade Code Maintenance Form
(SHAGRDE) for the term and level.
• Rules for incomplete grade processing must be set up on the Incomplete Grade
Rules Form (SHAINCG).
• Student must be assigned a grade meeting the above two criteria.
