Entering an ID Directly
A student does not have to be a student or advisee of the user, although to perform some
functions (such as adding or dropping classes), the user must have the student enter his or
her PIN.
When an ID is entered directly and the system selects the Submit button, the system
displays the Student Verification page (bwlkoids.P_FacVerifyID) to confirm that the
correct student has been selected.
Performing an ID Search
When performing a search, the user can enter all or the first part of the student’s name. The
system searches the SPRIDEN table for records matching the search criteria. A value must
be entered in at least one of the name fields.
After a search is performed, the system displays the Student and Advisee ID Selection
confirmation page (bwlkoids.P_FacVerifyID) with the search results, from which the
user selects the correct student.

Student’s last name, or the first letter(s) of the student’s last
name. The last name prefix is displayed, if applicable.
Student’s first name, or the first letter(s) of the student’s first

Radio button group used to specify what type of student
associated with the user for the selected term is to be
included in the search.
• The Students radio button tells the system to search only
among the user’s students for matching records.
• The Advisees radio button tells the system to search only
among the user’s advisees for matching records.
• The Both radio button tells the system to search among
the user’s students and advisees for matching records.
• The All radio button tells the system to search among all
students and advisees for matching records.
Note: The All radio button is displayed only if the External
Code is set to Y for the ALLADVR and/or the ALLFAC
internal code.
