Determining the Number of Records Displayed
The number of records displayed is determined by the setting of the Secondary
Curriculum checkbox on the WebCAPP Rules Form (SMAWCRL). (See the “Crosswalk
Validation Form (GTVSDAX) Records for WebCAPP Processing” on page 7-70 for more
information.)
• When the Secondary Curriculum checkbox is selected on SMAWCRL:
• If either the DEG or REC record is designated on GTVSDAX to be
displayed, then all SHADEGR or SRARECR records are displayed. The
records are displayed in catalog term and sequence number order.
• If either the GST or ADM record is designated on GTVSDAX to be
displayed, then both the primary and secondary curriculum (if one exists) are
displayed.
• When the Secondary Curriculum checkbox is not selected on SMAWCRL:
• If either the DEG or REC record is designated on GTVSDAX to be
displayed, then the highest catalog term and lowest sequence number
SHADEGR or SRARECR record is displayed
• If either the GST or ADM record is designated on GTVSDAX to be
displayed, then only the primary curriculum is displayed, even if a secondary
curriculum exists.
Faculty Member Access to Degree Evaluations
Access is based upon the following criteria. These criteria are listed in the sequence in
which they are processed by the system.
Faculty PIN Control
If Faculty PIN Control has been set up on the Crosswalk Validation Form (GTVSDAX),
the instructor can access a student’s degree evaluation, regardless of his or her relationship
with the student, if the student supplies the correct PIN. The system performs no other
security checking.
If Faculty PIN Control has not been set up on GTVSDAX, the instructor must be defined
as an instructor for a class that the student is enrolled in for the selected term.
Faculty Attribute Checking
If Faculty Attribute Checking has been set up on GTVSDAX, the system searches the
processes defined on the Faculty Attribute/Advisor Type Control Form (SOAFAPC). If
the COMPLIANCE process has been defined, the system verifies the instructor’s attributes
against the process rules. (The instructor’s attributes are defined in the Faculty Attribute
Block of the Faculty Information Form [SIAINST].)
