<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Wilmington</strong><br />
(c) For all new construction, conversions and/or additions involving nonresidential<br />
uses on corner or double frontage lots, driveway access to Wrightsville Avenue shall<br />
be prohibited, except where such access would conflict with the provisions <strong>of</strong> Sec.<br />
18-551(d) or except where the lot is located at a signalized intersection <strong>of</strong><br />
Wrightsville Avenue with a U.S. or N.C. numbered highway, as designated on the<br />
<strong>Wilmington</strong> Area Thoroughfare Plan, and where said lot's primary frontage is on the<br />
thoroughfare street.<br />
(d) In the O&I, Office and Institutional District portions <strong>of</strong> the corridor:<br />
(1) The following uses shall be permitted only with a special use permit:<br />
a. Business services<br />
b. Child day care<br />
c. Religious institutions<br />
d. Libraries<br />
e. Post <strong>of</strong>fice<br />
f. Restaurant--standard<br />
g. Spas and health clubs<br />
h. Telephone communication facilities<br />
i. Veterinary services with enclosed pens<br />
(2) The following uses shall be prohibited:<br />
a. Banking services<br />
b. Convenience food stores<br />
c. Funeral homes and crematories<br />
d. Furniture stores<br />
e. Golf course, private or public with related services, including pro<br />
shops<br />
f. Labor unions<br />
g. Motels and hotels<br />
h. Restaurant, fast food carry-out<br />
i. Service stations<br />
j. Social services, not elsewhere classified<br />
(e) In the CB, Community Business District portions <strong>of</strong> the corridor:<br />
(1) The following uses shall be permitted only with a special use permit:<br />
a. Associations or organizations: civic, social or fraternal<br />
b. Auxiliary uses and wares<br />
c. Business services<br />
d. Child day care<br />
e. Contractors <strong>of</strong>fice with no open storage <strong>of</strong> materials<br />
f. Launders, no drive-up windows<br />
g. Libraries<br />
h. Post <strong>of</strong>fice<br />
i. Restaurant--standard<br />
j. Spas and health clubs<br />
k. Telephone communication facilities<br />
