Completing the Rescind Spacing Application—Holding or Units<br />

For in<strong>for</strong>mation on filling in Sections 1–4, refer to Unit 7, Section 7.6.2: Spacing Form.<br />

Section 5: Holding or Units<br />

1) Does your area of application include entire DSUs?<br />

Select YES if each area of application contains whole DSUs. Note that you can only use the<br />

Rescind application <strong>for</strong>m to remove a DSU(s) from a holding where a lease(s) has expired <strong>and</strong><br />

reverted back to the Crown, or if you wish to rescind all or a portion of the holding in favour of<br />

the st<strong>and</strong>ard spacing specified in Part 4 of the OGCR.<br />

If you select NO, the application cannot be filed.<br />

2) Enter the well density to be rescinded.<br />

The well density entered on the <strong>for</strong>m must match the well density in the existing approval being<br />

rescinded. Well density is defined as the number of wells per pool per area.<br />

Enter the well density <strong>and</strong> then select the well density area. Possible well density areas are<br />

• 1 Quarter Legal Subdivision<br />

• 1 Legal Subdivision<br />

• 2 Legal Subdivisions<br />

• 1 Quarter Section<br />

• 1 Half Section<br />

• 1 Section<br />

• 2 Section<br />

• 3 Section<br />

• 4 Section<br />

• Per Holding<br />

• Limited by Buffer Distance<br />

• Limited by Buffer <strong>and</strong> Interwell Distances<br />

• Limited by Interwell Distance<br />

• Per Pool<br />

• See Special Provision<br />

3) Enter the buffer zone distance to be rescinded.<br />

Enter the buffer zone distance from the boundaries of each holding/unit in metres of the existing<br />

approval being rescinded. The buffer zone distance entered must match the existing approval.<br />

3a) Enter the buffer orientation to be rescinded.<br />

Select the boundaries of the holding/unit that the buffer zone distance applies to. The selected<br />

boundaries must match the existing approval.<br />

4) Is there an interwell distance to be rescinded?<br />

If you select YES, enter the approved interwell distance in question 4a.<br />

If No, question 4a is not required.<br />
