TEACHING<br />
The department <strong>of</strong> plant pathology has made immense contribution in the area <strong>of</strong> teaching,<br />
research <strong>and</strong> extension. A well-knit UG <strong>and</strong> PG programme with updated <strong>and</strong> modern syllabi is<br />
already in operation in the department. The department <strong>of</strong>fers 6 courses for <strong>under</strong>graduate<br />
students. There are 37 postgraduate courses leading to M.Sc. (Ag.) <strong>and</strong> Ph.D. degrees in Plant<br />
Pathology. Since the inception <strong>of</strong> the department 335 M.Sc. (Ag.) <strong>and</strong> 195 Ph.D. students have<br />
been awarded degrees.<br />
