have pulsation, mug wort beaten <strong>and</strong> mingled with oil,<br />

<strong>and</strong> laid on is good. Juice <strong>of</strong> mugwort mingled with<br />

rose oil, smear with that, soon will the quaking be<br />

stilled.<br />

1. For foot ache, betony, germen leaves^ that is noHypa.<br />

'mallow, fennel, ribwort, <strong>of</strong> all equal quantities ; mingle<br />

milk with Avater, <strong>and</strong> Ijathe the swollen limb, from<br />

the upper part <strong>of</strong> it, with that, lest the swelling go<br />

inwards; then take sodden comfrey, lay it on. For<br />

sore <strong>of</strong> feet or swelling from much walking, waybread<br />

triturated <strong>and</strong> mingled with vinegar. For that disorder,<br />

groundsel beaten <strong>and</strong> mingled with lard is good.<br />

2. For foot ache ; if the foot ache go inwards, take<br />

mugworts roots, mingle with oil, give to eat. For foot<br />

ache again, juice <strong>of</strong> /iorehound mingled with oil, smear<br />

the sore feet with it.<br />

3. For foot ache, take leaves <strong>of</strong> elder <strong>and</strong> waybroad<br />

<strong>and</strong> mugwort, pound, lay on, <strong>and</strong> bind on.<br />

For leg ache, white hellebore, henbane, wallwort,<br />

old groats <strong>and</strong> vinegar, harts or she goats or goose<br />
