iii. <strong>Leechdoms</strong> against all ache <strong>and</strong> sore <strong>of</strong> ears,<br />

against deafness <strong>of</strong> ears, <strong>and</strong> against ill hearing, <strong>and</strong> if<br />

worms be in the ears, <strong>and</strong> against earwigs, <strong>and</strong> if the<br />

ears din, <strong>and</strong> ear salves <strong>of</strong> every kind.<br />

iv. Leechcrafts against neck ratten,^ <strong>and</strong> how thou<br />

mayest ascertain whether it be neck ratten, <strong>and</strong> that<br />

the disease is <strong>of</strong> two sorts, either in. the jowl or in the<br />

throat, <strong>and</strong> a wort drink <strong>and</strong> a salve for that, <strong>and</strong> for<br />

swellings <strong>of</strong> the jaws <strong>and</strong> for quinsy, <strong>and</strong> for swelling<br />

<strong>of</strong> the jowl.<br />
