MS. HULL: Yeah.<br />

THE SPEAKER: Hi. My name is Sue Joerger, and I live<br />

in Seattle, Washington. I am so excited that I decided to come<br />

up today ra<strong>the</strong>r than wait until a couple weeks.<br />

I live on my sailboat about a block or so <strong>from</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

tracks. I walk along <strong>the</strong> railroad, <strong>the</strong> bike trail that goes<br />

along <strong>the</strong> tracks, and I find coal on my bike trail. And I also<br />

find it on <strong>the</strong> beach in Seattle. And I'd like to know what <strong>the</strong><br />

environmental impact on coal being deposited in Puget Sound, on<br />

our beaches as a result of this project.<br />

I'd also like to know what <strong>the</strong> storm water impact of<br />

rainwater falling on a giant pile of coal at <strong>the</strong> terminal, what<br />

<strong>the</strong> environmental impact will be <strong>from</strong> that. Particularly<br />

looking at <strong>the</strong> dissolved oxygen, increasing dissolved oxygen.<br />

I know that is an impact on <strong>the</strong> Point Roberts Terminal.<br />

Third, I also have a 50-ton captains license and I've<br />

sailed in <strong>the</strong>se waters <strong>for</strong> over 30 years, and accidents do<br />

happen as you've been hearing, and I think you do need to<br />

consider that.<br />

And finally, I am unemployed, hi guys, but I want a<br />

green job. I don't want a dirty coal job.<br />
