1 Orcas need to be able to find their way
2 underwater using sound, both to hunt and to communicate with
3 each other and to locate their position.
4 It's already being disturbed by an excessive
5 amount of engine noise. I don't know quite where the Navy
6 is at with their experiments using sonar, but if we add 900
7 more ships a year to the Northern Puget Sound environment,
8 I'm really concerned about the impact on the orcas.
9 Again, food sources are also being impacted. So
10 I would ask you to investigate cummulatively, along with all
11 the other sonars that disrupt the orca environment, what the
12 impact will be on our orca population.
13 And, also, I would just ask why would anyone who
14 trusts coal decides to do anything positive or anything,
15 after watching the whole global financial system and their
16 lies and their greed. Thank you very much.
