8 THE SPEAKER: Hello. My name is Tom Brenton <strong>from</strong><br />

9 Whatcom County, <strong>Bellingham</strong>. I will speak to you about<br />

10 something I know, certainly.<br />

11 I'm not an expert on anything very specific. I<br />

12 know buildings and indoor health and indoor environmental<br />

13 air quality.<br />

14 But I'll talk to you about my son. He lives<br />

15 directly next to <strong>the</strong> tracks. He has been affected exactly<br />

16 how some healthcare officials have spoken about. His<br />

17 concentration, his sleep habits; he's developed dyslexia,<br />

18 all of this is coming up since he has moved next to <strong>the</strong>se<br />

19 tracks because of sleep deprivation, and he's also developed<br />

20 respiratory conditions, <strong>from</strong> what I can only assume are <strong>the</strong><br />

21 particulates.<br />

22 So I'm asking <strong>the</strong> EIS to include, along <strong>the</strong><br />

23 entire rail system, not just here, to look at every<br />

24 household's occupants and <strong>the</strong> indoor air quality of those<br />

25 households, and <strong>the</strong> health effects upon <strong>the</strong> occupants,
