more jobs are going to be created in China. That's going to<br />

create sales tax revenue to make sure that <strong>the</strong>y have all kinds<br />

of Chinese crap coming over here to undermine our economy.<br />

That's going to undermine our economy to such an extent that we<br />

won't have <strong>the</strong> money to pay <strong>for</strong> cleanup.<br />

We don't have money already <strong>for</strong> education, we don't<br />

have money <strong>for</strong> our universities, our colleges, our high<br />

schools. We need to keep <strong>the</strong>se jobs here at home.<br />

THE SPEAKER: My name is Laura Leigh Brakke. My name<br />

is Laura Leigh Brakke. I live in <strong>the</strong> most beautiful place on<br />

earth called Pleasant Bay here in Whatcom County. I'm also a<br />

certified nurse midwife, and I was up a hundred percent,<br />

24 hours, all through <strong>the</strong> night, so if my comments lose track,<br />

that may be why. Had a baby at 2:47 this morning.<br />

So I would like part of <strong>the</strong> EIS study to include <strong>the</strong><br />

effects of mercury on <strong>the</strong> health of our environment as it<br />

enters into our food source and fish and <strong>the</strong> effects on<br />

pregnant women, unborn children, et cetera.<br />

I also would like <strong>the</strong> EIS to include <strong>the</strong> increased<br />

traffic in our shipping lanes <strong>from</strong> <strong>the</strong> inland Puget Sound to
