Primary Evaluation
Primaries are the essential data resource for running Color iControl. They
consist of a concentration series dyed up in the lab using methods which mimic
the methods (as closely as possible) which will be used in actual production.
The concentration series should start at very low concentrations of colorants,
perhaps as low as 0.1 percent, and run up to higher concentrations, perhaps as
high as three or four percent. These samples must then be measured with the
instrument and the data stored into either the current job or the database.
Making replicate primaries is highly recommended. That is, you should dye up
more than one concentration series for each colorant you wish to use in
