master’s thesis William opted to continue studies at Louisiana State University toward a doctoral degree in history and received a graduate assistantship toward that end. William’s interest in the relationship between psychology and history, specifically in the interface between social psychology, politics and diplomacy in modern Europe, has led him to investigate a comparison with Eastern cultures. He has traveled in India and explored various avenues of Vedic knowledge, Indian music and the practice of meditation and yoga. He is particularly interested in the disparity between perceived cultural difference and some striking similarities in philosophical and religious orientation between East and West.
